SEPTEMBER NEWS

We will begin our first experiences as students at Columbus Academy by learning about the roles of various School Community Helpers. We will be discussing the jobs that our "helpers" may have and how what they do impacts our lives in the classroom. Some of the people we will be visiting include Mr. Mackenzie, Mr. Vorenberg, Mrs. Saling, Nurse Hoagland, the kitchen staff, the maintenance staff, and Miss Carmen (the very nice lady who cleans up some of our messes!). At the end of September, we will be expanding our horizons to include Community Helpers that we encounter in our world outside of school. If anyone is interested in coming into the classroom to talk about your job as a community helper, please feel free to contact us! We love to have visitors come to our classroom, especially parents!

Mr. Vorenberg teaches us how to raise our hand!

Mr. Vorenberg explains to us how Mrs. Saling is his right arm. We are not sure what he means, but she certainly is a very nice lady!

Mr. Vorenberg and Mr. Bennett said they were just checking out our communication system, but we know that they really just miss being able to play in our Pre-K room!

Nurse Hoagland reassures us that she will not be giving us any shots!!!
