HEAR THIS!

Today we did 2 different activities involving our sense of hearing.

The activity below is called "Eggs Full of Sound". In each different numbered egg is an object. To discover what is in the egg, a child shakes the egg and reviews the picture cards which offer them ideas and options of which object it might be. Opening the egg, children can see first-hand if their guess was correct.


Blake is shaking her egg and, using her hearing, makes a guess as to which object is in the egg.

It was the key!



The second hearing activity involved listening to a cassette tape with various recorded sounds. Children used their sense of hearing and photo cards to determine which sound they were hearing.


Both of these hearing activities are now available in the Discovery Center and can be used during Free Choice time.
